OOCL Containership Panel Image Decorates The Logistics Museum

The OOCL containershi is now decorating the section of the Logistics Museum dedicated to sea and container transport.

The OOCL company, one of the top ten major container operators in the worlds, donated a panel to the Logistics Museum with an image of its containership. The large-scale picture made out of wood with laser engraving displays a loaded containership with a capacity of 13,208 TEU. This gift is now decorating the section of the Logistics Museum dedicated to sea and container transport.

The OOCL fleet contains ten vessels with such capacity. These are huge containerships with a deadweight of 143.5 thousand tons, manufactured by the South Korean shipbuilding corporation, Samsung Heavy Industries. The full length of this type of vessel is over 360 meters with a width of 48.2m. The vessel can travel at a speed of over 23 knots.

The Logistics Museum is very grateful for the support from container operators and logistics companies.
